The state enterprise “Ukrainian scientific-research and training center for standardization, certification and quality problems” (UkrNDNC) was created by the Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine ¹ 1337 of 21st of August, 2003, on the initiative of the State committee of Ukraine for technical regulation and consumer policy (Derzhspozhyvstandard of Ukraine).
UkrNDNC is the leading organization of Derzhspozhyvstandard of Ukraine in the sphere of standardization, certification and quality.
Main activities of UkrNDNC:
- scientific-research work on ensuring the functioning of the national system of standardization, development of quality and environmental management systems;
- scientific-methodical and informative ensuring of the functioning of the national systems of standardization and certification;
- preparation of experts in the sphere of standardization, certification, metrology, quality and environmental management, consumer rights’ protection;
- accumulating the information base in the field of technical regulation;
- registration of objects and subjects in the national certification system of UkrSEPRO;
- preparation and publishing of normative documents, magazines and other materials;
- UkrNDNC is the member of the European Fund for Quality Management (EFQM) and the scientific partner of the European Organization for Quality (EOQ);
- There are Lviv and Kharkiv branches of UkrNDNC.
More than 100 scientists work in UkrNDNC, as well as 2 professors and 12 PhD candidates.
Enterprise, organization and authorities criteria evaluation method «APPROACH – PROCESS – RESULT» is meant for objective assessment of enterprises and organizations in the process of self-assessment with the aim of self-improvement or in case of their participation in criteria competitions with the purpose of recognition of their achievement in the sphere of product and service quality.
